How Islam Combated Racism

In answer to a question about the Islamic solution to the problem of racism, Sheikh Ahmad Deedat indicates that God says in the Glorious Qur’an:

O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you. (Al-Hujurat 49:13)

Sheikh Deedat indicates that righteousness is the fair standard laid down by God for the preference of somebody to another. In Islam, God does not recognize race, language, skin color or riches as a basis of distinction or superiority.

Sheikh Deedat points out that, unlike the previous divine messages, including Judaism and Christianity, Islam did not content itself with finding theoretical solutions to the problem of racism, but it rather has adopted certain practices to combat racism and ensure brotherhood and equality among all people.
